So, I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve been passing along a tidbit of advice that I got from Vonnegut, and he got from his Uncle Alex. I feel like I need to put it down here, since I have been MIA for a while. This is what I have been thinking about a lot:
“If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.”
A song, a sunset, a friend, a conversation… anything and anywhere, there’s something nice. Even in the midst of all the crap that happens during the day.
So, there’s that.
I’m talking more about the real, tangible things that happen everyday… not necessarily something we imagine a deity bestows. 😉
