It is true. I am writing this post on my iPhone. It’s not ideal yet – you can only edit text in html mode, which is a little limiting, but it is possible to do. Also, I found that the same is true of Googles docs, which means you can do word processing and spreadsheet editing (in HTML edit mode) until Apple releases “Pages for iPhone” or the like.
I am a little surprised that Google, known for it’s links to Apple, doesn’t have a host of Safari-based apps ready to go. I guess they are allowing Apple to take over the world for a day. I have no doubt we’ll see something from them in the near future.
By the way, typing on this thing does take some getting used to. However, it is pretty smart. For instance, when I typed dimethong earlier, it knew I meant “something”. Too bad we can’t adapt that to life. Emilie-isms would become a thing of the past.
